Apple is reportedly (from Japanese blog Mac Otakara) developing an iPad Air 5 with modern-day upgrades. To keep the iPad Air in line with the iPad mini 6, 5G connectivity along with A15 Bionic chip, Center Stage front camera are in the works. With that said, a Quad-LED True Tone flash will assist the camera in low-light.
Design-wise, expected is the modern-day flat sides overall much like the iPad Air 4 and the current-gen iPad mini. However, basic specs will mostly remain unchanged. Such as the 10.9” Liquid Retina Display, Touch ID equipped power button, USB-C port, and magnetic connector.

The source expected an iPad Pro 11” like rear camera setup to make it to the scene but now things are settling to a single camera setup.
To conclude, this year’s iPad Air 5 will be nothing more than a glorified iPad mini 6. Wait, isn’t the iPad mini 6 a smaller iPad Air 4 in the first place but with better internals? Hmm.
Hang on, before we get going, the 2022 iPhone SE is rumored to make debuting alongside the iPad Air 5 in march or April. Stay tuned for more.
