Apple’s WWDC 2021 commences on June 7 at 5 PM (GMT)

UPDATE – 25/05/21: Apple has brought out details via a mail message regarding its WWDC 2021 event which is set to take place on June 7. The keynote starts at 5 PM (GMT). As expected the virtual event will witness the next major software update to iOS and iPadOS along with macOS and WatchOS. Also, we may or might as well see Apple put some light on the next generation Apple M2 chip for the Mac lineup. All of these will be topped off by interactive sessions, labs, and new apps coming to the Apple store. Stay tuned for coverage of what’s to come, especially with regards to iOS 15 and iPadOS 15.

ORIGINAL ARTICLE – 30/03/21: Apple finally announced its 2nd virtual WWDC today. The WWDC 2021 is all set up to take place from June 7-11 this year. The event as usual will comprise of keynote, sessions, and labs for developers. Expected are new iterations of iOS, macOS, tvOS, and watchOS.

Additionally, we may also see new hardware launches such as a new iPad Pro model, an updated M1X chip for the Mac lineup, new MacBooks and iMac machines. We are, however, more inclined towards new features and improvements iOS 15 is geared to bring to the table on the iPhone.

As you can see from the featured image above, the Apple Memoji character appears to be staring at the MacBook screen with the Big Sur dock reflected on the character’s glasses. This sort of gives us some hint of a possible glimpse of the long-rumored Apple Glass! Let’s all wait and watch.

The last year’s covid restricted online-bound WWDC 2020 witnessed the introduction of a revamped macOS Big Sur and new iOS 14 for the MacBook and iPhone respectively. The cherry on top was the unwrapping of Apple’s in-house silicon for its computers, the M1 chip. The M1 processor blew away the competition out of the water with its unrivaled speed, efficiency, and reliability.
