An updated 3rd generation of the iPhone SE is in the cards at Apple. Unusually, Apple is set to release a new SE model In just two years as opposed to a familiar four-year cycle. As per a tweet from CEO of Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC) Ross Young, the 2022 iPhone SE may bear the name “SE+ 5G”.
The purported iPhone SE+ 5G will come with the now age-old 4.7” LCD fitted inside the good old chassis of the current-gen. And yes, 5G is expected to be the addition to the feature list this year.

Another important tidbit we have is about the 4th gen model likely to release sometime in 2023 or 2024. A 5.7” display would be equipped in the model. The display is most likely to be of the OLED variety as Apple’s iPhone lineup is all OLED today barring the SE model.
